Dr. Korey, Dr. Kathleen, and our staff are happy to welcome you to Pinnacle Chiropractic!
Feel free to browse our site. From these pages you can learn more about us, more about chiropractic, our location, clinic hours, schedule an appointment, check out our blog, or keep up with all the community events we stay involved in! Our mission is to provide our community with a fresh perspective on health. Specifically that your body is an amazing thing, meant to self-heal, and self-regulate. It’s our job to optimize that process, and make sure your body is firing on all cylinders! Many of our clients first come to our clinic seeking help with back pain, neck pain, headaches, or other discomforts. Most people associate chiropractic with pain relief of some sort, and it’s true, chiropractic can be used in this way, and ispretty effective! But when you get down to it, chiropractic is more. In fact the founders of chiropractic often referred to it as an art, a science, and a philosophy. What do they mean by that? Well like any health related profession, there is an art to practicing chiropractic. As anyone who has ever moved can tell you, you may go to one dentist, or one medical doctor, and receive a treatment or experience that is different from the one you used to go to. Each chiropractor has different techniques, different focuses, and approaches to their profession. It’s important to find a chiropractor you feel comfortable with, and one who takes pride in their technique and approach. No two patients are exactly the same, and will not respond exactly the same to chiropractic care. This is what makes chiropractors different, and what makes practicing chiropractic an art!

Back & Neck Adjustments
Chiropractic is a science. Not only that, but it is an evolving science! As we learn more and more about the amazing intricacies of the human body we are better able to understand and theorize the impact that a chiropractic adjustment has on the patient (hint: its effect is mainly on the brain and nervous system, not your spine!). As chiropractic has evolved through the centuries, so has our explanation of how and why chiropractic is so beneficial! The chiropractic adjustment is completely unique in the realm of healthcare, and there is no replacement for its ability to affect the neurophysiology of the body. Chiropractic is a philosophy. It is the philosophy that your body is intelligent. More powerful than any computer. Your brain coordinates millions of biochemical reactions and physiological processes throughout your body every second of every day, and most of them work perfectly day in and day out without so much as a thought. Your body is made to be self-healing, and self-regulating! When your body is given the healthy necessitiesit requires (healthy food, healthy exercise, healthy sleep, and healthy thoughts), the outcome is health! When your body is affected by unhealthy things (physical, mental, emotional, or chemical stresses), the result is stress on your brain and nervous system. What happens when your brain and nervous system are under more stress? Those millions of reactions and processes we just mentioned your brain and nervous system are in charge of start to fail. Chiropractic adjustments are designed to help your brain and nervous system handle that stress, and keep you doing your best. The chiropractic philosophy is that health needs to come from within. When you visit our clinic you’ll find a wide range of clientele. Our patients range from a few weeks old, to the elderly. As you can imagine, patients in different stages of life come in for different reasons, whether it be pain related, performance related, immune system related, or just for fine tuning. It’s pretty rare to have a two week old throw their back out! Because of this, the adjustments also differ from patient to patient, depending on the case. Adjustments can be the quick and loud kinds that are plastered all over YouTube for your viewing pleasure, or in the case of a pregnant mother or infant, they can be very gentle, with no clicking or popping at all. If you have any worries or concerns prior to your adjustment please voice them, our doctors are happy to make changes to allow for your comfort. The patients differ, the adjustments differ, but one thing remains the same: the purpose. The purpose of each adjustment is to remove stress and tension for your nervous system to allow your body to express its intelligence at its very best! Rest assured, whatever your reason for beginning your chiropractic journey, it is safe and effective. The first chiropractic adjustment was given in 1895 by D.D. Palmer. The ailment being “treated” was hearing loss in his patient, Harvey Lillard. It was a eureka moment for D.D. Palmer, who theorized a bone out of place impinging on Harvey’s nerves must have been the cause for the loss of hearing. Though the specifics of that day are lost to history, modern science has given us a much more accurate theory of the chiropractic adjustment and it’s affect upon the brain and the nerves that are intricately wired throughout the spine. Neuroscience now understands that your brain is like an amazing computer. It is constantly being bombarded by messages and signals from the millions of nerves throughout your body. But there are two areas of the body that these messenger nerves are incredibly numerous; the top and the bottom of your spine. When these nerves are sending the wrong information to your brain, it alters your brains ability to make the proper response. Just like a computer, wrong input, wrong output. There are multiple reasons why the nerves in your spine may be sending incorrect messages to your brain. They include spinal misalignment, fixation, biomechanical dysfunction, inflammation, neurological tension and more. Regardless of what the cause is, the neurological dysfunction is known in chiropractic terms as a subluxation. We use certain neurological testing, x-rays, temperature, and electromyography to locate and measure this neurological dysfunction. At that point our doctors will make the appropriate recommendations and you can proceed as you see fit. We do not require long term commitments or contracts of care, and do accept most insurance when eligible. If you’re ready to start your chiropractic journey, call us today, or schedule online here. We look forward to serving you!
